Founder Mariam Adil A passionate Development Practitioner, an International Development student and an aspiring social entrepreneur, Mariam Adil finds herself uniquely positioned to tap on opportunities that link her work and studies. In addition to her roles and responsibilities as an Economist with the Africa Education Unit at the World Bank, Mariam voluntarily led the WB Pakistan Youth Initiative, aimed at capacity building of rural youth, was a winner of the WB South Asia Region Video Competition – “What Inspires Me at Work” and a finalist in the WB I4K knowledge generation competition.

Lead Product Development Rizwan Nusrat 

With an MBA in marketing and a passion for business development, Rizwan Nursat is currently working as a Marketing Specialist for Emaar Group in Pakistan. He has managed marketing campaigns for several of the company’s launches and finds the innovation and creativity involved in his work to be a key driving strength in his career. He is leading the work on designing the marketing strategy for GRID and finds it exciting to pitch a video game to a development audience.

Content Developer Kiran Javaid 

Currently a Public Administration graduate student at the University of Washington, Kiran Javaid has a background in Economics. She has collaborated with various international organizations like the World Bank, UNICEF, Open Society Foundations and International Growth Center. Given her professional background including involvement in economic development workshops and conferences puts her in a unique position to contribute to the content development of GRID games.

 

Technical Team

Technical Executive Taimoor ul Hassan
Taimoor is an experienced marketing professional with a diverse industry experience of online retail, customer experience design, research and human-computer interactions. He possesses skills to design and manage customer models for attracting and retaining customers using dynamic contextualization and augmented reality Taimoor holds extensive knowledge on the use of business and marketing intelligence (SaaS, software as a service) models for sales management and automation.
He has had the experience of working with the world’s top clients including a few Fortune 500 companies and now offers his diverse skills to GRID.

 

Maryam Bilal – Graphic Designer and Sketch Artist

Maryam Arqam pursued her passion for arts and its application through formal education and as a hobby dabbling in a variety of traditional and digital media. Following her laurels as a Punjab university gold medalist in her masters degree of Fine Arts, she advanced her career as a freelance artist designing for various organizations such as the school of leadership Karachi for their annual “Junior Leaders Conference” and “Young Leaders Conference”. She has to her credit two educational novels, “Biotechnology for Kids” and “Out of this World”. Maryam is the mastermind behind the artwork that defines the originality and creativity of GRID products.

Legal Advisor Adil Shafi Adil Shafi is a seasoned corporate attorney with 7 years of experience in advising public and private companies (including banking companies) on all aspects of corporate and securities law. He has advised companies within the banking, energy, packaging, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries, among others, in transactions within jurisdictions as Pakistan, UAE, Bahrain, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Given his significant experience in advising corporate entities (including start-ups), Adil is well placed to assist GRID in ensuring that the legal aspects of the venture are in order.
